JOB DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify and generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, email outreach, and attending industry events.
  • Research potential clients and industries to understand their needs and how the company's products/services can address those challenges.
  • Present and demonstrate the company’s IT solutions to prospective clients, showcasing features, benefits, and ROI.
  • Conduct product demos and respond to client inquiries to ensure they understand the technical and business value of the products/services.

  • Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Handling and reciprocating the phone calls to respective departments

RESPONSIBILITY OF PRICING EXECUTIVE:

  • Secure the lowest price for freight (air, sea, land & any type of container/ cargos) and have clear cost calculation.
  • Time management based on different queries, countries and cross-country communication.
  • Negotiate cost/freight as low as possible, match Sales’ target rate or below that target rate.
  • Finalize payment terms, work scenario (scope of work), BL SWB/ Telex, Number of BL required with Abroad Vendors, including Finalization of Agreement. Then, connect Vendors with Operation and Account Department. Clarify Vendors terms & company terms to Internal Department.
  • Coordinate with Internal Department to resolve issues encountered.
  • Update cost calculation of each job to Account Department. Additionally, Timely Cross checking Pricing’s estimated charges calculation with final Invoice received by Account Departments.
  • Timely cross checking and researching on Shipping line local charges as well as understanding any new entry of Shipping line. If new Shipping line encounter, cross check process, charges and services.
  • Updating cost estimation accordingly and implementing possible costs in calculations.
  • Handover Selling rate & Cost Calculation to Accounts and client to CS Department. Share background/ requirements related to client / job of corporate clients.
  • Research on vendors, possible markets that Sales can pitch on, markets trends, competitors and share findings to Team Lead. In required scenario, suggestions/ feedback/ support required can be float to management.
  • Being updated with international market news related to shipping or impacting on Shipping lines.
  • Be clear about International Trade terms and cater each job/ issue accordingly.
  • Understand cross -country culture / behavior and utilize in PR maintenance &Report to Team lead on daily basis, attending meeting or conducting meetings on required situation and related reports to be update to Team Lead/HR.
